Match archive guide

Explore the results behind the rivalry

Real Madrid and Barcelona's histories extend beyond the games they play against one another. This archive brings their recorded club fixtures together with historical Clásicos, so you can follow a season, look up an opponent or revisit a specific score. A match appearing in both club records is counted once and links to a single match page.

What does the archive cover?

The rivalry records reach back to 1902. Wider club-match coverage begins in 2005 and includes the available league, Champions League, Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup results. Coverage varies by competition and season. The date range describes the oldest and newest records held here; it does not imply a complete match list for both clubs throughout that period.

Finding a result and reading the score

Select Madrid or Barça to include that club's matches against all opponents, or choose Clásico for meetings between the two. Combine the club filter with a season, competition or opponent search. Home teams are listed first, including nominal home teams at neutral venues. Historical Clásico scores include extra time where played; the match page identifies the recorded result basis.

Why do some games have more statistics?

A historical result may contain only a date, competition and final score. More recent records can also include half-time scores, shots, possession, cards or expected goals. Statistics are shown when available rather than filled in from an assumed match narrative. Use the head-to-head counting rules when comparing competitive matches with friendlies.
